Course / Cruises

An opportunity to complete an RYA course whilst exploring some of the many Fjords and islands that abound on the west coast of Norway.

Some of our Course / Cruises start in Bergen, providing easy transport options.  The Harbour is in the City centre just a couple of minutes walk from the Airport Shuttle bus stop, really couldn’t be easier.

Our other Course / Cruises start from our base in Stongfjorden, in which case you have to jump on the Express Boat, which starts from the City Harbour and enjoy the superb ride to Askvoll where we will meet you.  There are 2 Express Boats per day 0800 and 1630 (only one on Saturdays and Sundays).

Bergen - Stongfjorden

Aquilo our Scanyacht 391 will be in the Harbour in Bergen the night before the cruise starts.  You may join her the night before and stay aboard overnight, or the join the morning the cruise starts.  With everyone aboard we will start our sail North to Stongfjorden our destination, staying overnight on the yacht at different harbours or anchorages.  Our exact route is not set but will possibly be Gulen, Nara, Hyllestad, Bulandet and Stonfjorden/Askvoll, from where there is a fast catamaran service back to Bergen.

Island Hopper

From our base in Stongfjorden or Askvoll, you may join the night before or the morning the hopper starts.

We then explore some of the many Islands that abound on the west coast from Alden, Bulandet, Gasvaer, Faroy, the most westerly lighthouse on Utvaer or Svanoy before arriving back at our start point Stongfjorden or Askvoll.

Further North

Our destination here is Alesund, a city beautifully restored in the early 1900’s, after being destroyed by fire. We have to round the notorious Stat Peninsular, visiting some stunning places such as Sild, pictured above, en route.

Meals on board are included from breakfast on the morning the cruise starts to Lunch on the last day.

RYA courses may be combined at no extra cost.
